The Education Secretary, Local Council Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, has commended the Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited (IDPIL) for its transformational impacts on the youth In Ikorodu.
He commended the scholarship and bursary awards presented to over 200 students in Ikorodu Division as educational support.
He gave his commendations in a statement issued today.
“It is with profound gratitude and admiration that I honour the exemplary commitment of Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Ltd/GTE (IDPIL/GTE) towards transforming the lives of our youth through education. Their bold vision and steadfast investment have sown seeds of hope across every corner of the Ikorodu Division.

“Over the years, IDPIL’s belief in education as the surest path to emancipation has translated into tangible support for hundreds of indigent students. They have:
“Invested over ₦100 million in scholarships and bursaries and held four consecutive annual awards, each more impactful than the last.
“Yesterday’s 4th Edition Scholarship and Bursary Awards at N. S. Sho Multi-purpose Event Centre, Imota, where more than 200 students were beneficiaries of bursary awards and about 30 outstanding youths Granted full scholarships brought together parents, educators, community leaders, and the bright, hopeful faces of our future.

“I was deeply moved by the sight of eager scholars stepping forward, each one carrying the promise of tomorrow because IDPIL believed in them today.”
The Education Secretary, specially thanked the IDPIL Chairman and its members for their kind generosity in advancing the division, in particular, its inputs into the educational system in the division which is providing opportunities for many to attain their dreams.
“I specially commend and extend my deep gratitude to High Chief Adewunmi Adedeji Ogunsanya, the Odofin of Ikorodu, founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of IDPIL, and every member of IDPIL’s leadership team.

“Your generosity reflects not only financial support but a heartfelt conviction that no capable mind should be denied the chance to learn and flourish. Your example challenges all of us; governments, businesses, and individuals to invest in human potential with equal fervour.
“As Education Secretary, LGEA, Ikorodu, I pledge to strengthen our collaboration through linking scholars with mentorship and career guidance.
“Together, we will build an Ikorodu Division where every young person, regardless of background, can access quality education and chart a path to success.
“To IDPIL and the entire community, I say: your generosity today will echo in the achievements of our scholars for generations to come.”
